The first distillery springs to life in Lawrenceburg on the banks of the Kentucky river. The Ripy Brothers begin bottling on the very site where Wild Turkey’s current facility stands today. A fateful turkey hunt deep in the Kentucky woods introduces a new bourbon, so bold and unforgettable it instantly gets its own name — Wild Turkey. It is made from fermented and distilled corn and other grains, and goes through unique traditional fermentation and aging processes, giving it a strong, smooth taste and a lingering flavor. Wild Turkey shines on its own or in a mixed drink like Old Fashioned.
