Cinzano the brand was born in 1757, brothers Giovanni Giacomo and Carlo Stefano Cinzano, went on to start their family business with vermouth.  Later, the Cinzanos became the suppliers of the royal Savoy court. By order of HM the Savoy King Charles Albert, experiments and production of an Italian alternative to French champagne began in Santa Vittoria d’Alba. By the mid-1800s, young Francesco Cinzano II finally succeeded what his father had started, raising the first glass of his Italian Spumante. The Cinzano range of sparkling wines includes both sweet and dry versions.
